MUFG Securities is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operational Risk Analyst to join their dynamic team in Hong Kong. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the Risk Management Asia team, focusing primarily on operational risk and enterprise risk management for APAC. What you'll do:
As an Operational Risk Analyst, your role will be pivotal in overseeing operational risks across various business functions in Asia Pacific. You will be responsible for providing regular reports on key risk metrics, supporting senior ORM Manager in continuous monitoring, conducting control testing, developing policies, maintaining the firm's Risk Appetite Statement, ensuring compliance with international standards, supporting risk management projects, among other responsibilities. Your expertise in operational and enterprise risk management will be crucial in driving success.

Oversee operational risks that arise across business and support functions in Asia Pacific

Provide regular reporting on key risk metrics and prompt escalation to senior management and the Board

Support senior ORM Manager to continuous monitoring and independent assessment of the firm’s operational risk profiles and material exposures

Conduct control testing to verify effectiveness of the risk measures identified through the Risks & Controls Self- Assessment process

Work closely with front office supervision and primary risk owners to ensure robust operation risk control framework embedded within 1LOD

Oversee and manage the operational risk processes and initiate changes where required to ensure best market practices

Develop and maintain policies and procedures to support the Enterprise Risk Management Framework

Develop and maintain the firm’s Risk Appetite Statement, produce the dashboard to provide a taxonomy of risks faced by the firm, monitor adherence to risk appetite

Ensure risk management appetite are set in line with approved International and Regional Risk Appetite Statement with appropriate control and governance

Support risk management projects related to operational risk/ risk governance framework
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Operational Risk Analyst position brings over three years of experience in operational and enterprise risk management. You have a proven track record in incident reviews, RCSA and control effectiveness analysis independently. Your experience in documenting policies and procedures will be highly valued. You are adept at dealing with cross-functional stakeholders and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Additionally, hands-on IT skills and experience in data consolidation and report generation via AI would be a plus.
