Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance & Advisory:
- Assist the Advisory team to interpret and implement Bank’s policies and procedures in responding to local regulatory development and Group policies across corporate banking products (e.g. loans, trade finance, treasury services).
- Support the team to advise business units on compliance for new products and transactions.
- Provide compliance expertise in risks identification, assessment of designs and control effectiveness.
- Support the management of regulatory change cycle to ensure compliance policy alignment with evolving regulations and industry best practices by also providing recommendation for improvement.
Reporting & Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Assist compliance audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring timely remediation of findings.
- Liaise and coordinate internally with Compliance Divisions in Asia to support implementation of compliance requirements, initiatives, and processes.
- Support the Advisory Team/Head of Compliance on clerical and administrative aspects of matters such as metrics/management reporting, issues management, committee presentation and training materials preparation and newsletter.
- Handle crisis scenarios and escalations (e.g. data breaches) with urgency.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- University graduate.
- 3+ years of working experience in banking industry, preferably Corporate/ Commercial Banking within Compliance, Risk Management or Audit aspect with Big4 background.
- Basic knowledge of corporate banking products and regulations.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Strong team player, self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Good communication and analytical skills
