Job Description

  • Ensure that the funds / fund managers comply with Luxembourg regulatory and legal requirements, as well as internal policies and applicable laws
  • Be informed of the legal AML regulatory changes in Luxembourg
  • Take RC mandates at the Fund or Fund manager’s level and ensure registration in GoAML and eDesk platforms (escalation point)
  • Review potential hits from name screening on behalf of the clients and ensure that the screening hits have been processed accordingly and in due time
  • Coordinate with the different counterparties/delegates (TA, AIFM, PM, etc..)
  • Draft and/or review of annual RC reports, CSSF or AED questionnaires, external audit reports or other relevant deliverables that need to be submitted to the CSSF or AED
  • Support the Board/RR when the AED/CSSF or other competent authorities in Luxembourg raise questions on AML/CFT matters Create or update Fund’s/ AIFM’s AML governance framework consisting of AML/CFT policies, risk appetite statement and risk assessment Develop a robust compliance culture (regulatory watch), providing support, education and training to staff to build compliance risk awareness within the Company
  • Provide assistance to the Head of AML/CFT & RC Services on development projects and prospects
  • Organize the priorities and legal deadlines to ensure that the clients having contracted with IQEQ AML/CFT & RC services have been serviced and that the team has met the respective deadlines
  • Conduct AML/CTF due diligence and oversight activities on service providers and delegates
  • Participating to the Board Meetings (up to 4/year) and taking in the board members/RR’s questions
  • Anticipates the workload and provide visibility to the Head of AML/CFT & RC

While the role is focusing on Private Equity and Real Estate within the AIFM department, you will need to be a master organizer, enjoy variety and a methodical planner. 

You’ll need to be thorough in all you do, using your own judgment to highlight any significant finds and escalate if rules and regulations are breached. Attention to detail is a must have as you'll be responsible for producing timely and accurate compliance and AML reports for the clients. You’ll need to ensure they comply and meet the AML/CFT obligations.

Qualifications

  • Master/Bachelor in Finance, Business, Law or an equivalent degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar position or an AIFM in Luxembourg
  • Excellent knowledge of the Luxembourg regulatory environment for investment funds
  • Exposure of working with third party delegates and service providers
  • Fluent in English; additional language would be considered an asset
