Job Summary:
The Pricing Lead for FP&A will lead the development and analysis of pricing strategies to support the company’s financial goals. This role involves working closely with the sales, marketing, and finance teams to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and internal cost structures to set competitive and profitable pricing strategies. The Pricing Lead will also be responsible for forecasting, reporting, and providing actionable insights to drive revenue growth and margin improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with the company’s financial goals and market positioning.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior to inform pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to understand customer needs and develop targeted pricing models.
Financial Analysis:
- Perform in-depth financial analysis, including margin analysis, profitability assessments, and pricing scenario planning.
- Monitor key pricing metrics, identify trends, and provide insights to senior leadership.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans as they relate to pricing strategies.
Pricing Models:
- Develop and maintain pricing models and tools to support sales teams in pricing negotiations and decisions.
- Ensure that pricing models reflect changes in costs, market conditions, and corporate objectives.
- Work with data analytics to assess the effectiveness of pricing strategies and refine as necessary.
Reporting & Forecasting:
- Generate regular pricing reports and forecasts to provide visibility into pricing effectiveness and financial impact.
- Communicate pricing performance, including successes and areas for improvement, to stakeholders.
Compliance & Policy:
- Ensure that all pricing strategies and activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
- Develop pricing guidelines and policies to support consistent and compliant pricing practices across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree in finance is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in pricing, FP&A, or financial analysis roles, preferably within manufacturing
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in pricing strategy development for products or services in a competitive market.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI) for advanced analytics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
