AI Platform Lead

As the AI Platform Engineering Lead (internally referred to as Team Lead, Software Engineering), you will own the design, development, and optimization of the AI platform used to train, deploy, and manage AI models. You will lead a team of developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the technical architecture and design of Clario’s AI platform, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.

• Develop and maintain backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, MySQL, and AWS (SAM, CloudFormation, Lambda, and related services).

• Oversee the development and maintenance of a small front-end application for AI platform management.

• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the AI infrastructure, adhering to best practices for cloud security and compliance.

• Optimize and improve existing tools and workflows, ensuring smooth integration with Clario’s AI model development process.

• Collaborate closely with data scientists, DevOps, IT security, and other teams to support AI model training and deployment.

• Mentor and lead a small team of developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies, evaluating opportunities to enhance Clario’s AI platform.

What we look for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Full-Stack or Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js, AWS services, and SQL databases with prior leadership or technical lead experience

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, cloud security, and scalable system design

• Experience with AWS tools (SAM, CloudFormation, Lambda) or equivalent experience in other cloud providers (Azure, GCP)

• Ability to learn and improve existing AI platform workflows, ensuring efficient model development and deployment

• Familiarity with machine learning concepts is a plus (but deep ML expertise is not required).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and serverless architectures.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally with security, IT, and AI teams.

• Experience with secure cloud architectures and best practices for AI data security and compliance is preferred

• Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) for managing internal applications.

• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, but Kubernetes is not required).
