Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to expand your exposure and expertise in Agency Securities Finance? This is an unique opportunity for you to join the Agency Securities Finance Operations team where we are agent lender that provides equity and fixed income securities to broker dealers to facilitate their proprietary and client trading strategies. When there is a requirement to borrow securities, the lending desk negotiates a fee for the loan based on supply and demand and the type of underlying strategy. With 5 trading desks globally, J.P. Morgan offers a 24-hour service in 37 different markets.
As a Trade Support Associate within Agency Securities Finance Operations team, you will provide regional operational support for our Discretionary Securities Lending business. The product is positioned for significant growth and is looking for or you to support this expansion.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for the Securities Lending Trading desks
- Monitor client sales, and ensuring adequate inventory for settlement
- Assist the trade desk to recall or swap positions for proxy events, buffer management, MSCI rebalance and client transitions
- Monitor Securities Lending trades to ensure settlement, liaising directly with counterparties and agent banks
- Provide oversight oversight and escalation support on Corporate Actions and Manufactured Income in Asia Pacific
- Focus and drive efficiencies, utilizing digital tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, Tableau and Python
- Drive changes to the control and automation agendas
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines
- At least 8 years of experience in Securities Lending, Collateral Management, Settlements, and/or Trade Support or Middle Office role
- Sound knowledge of Global Financial Markets
- Proven track record in a busy and/or dynamic operations environment with an ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- A history of process improvements
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to digital tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, Tableau and Python beneficial
- Understanding of the workflows of a custodian
- A strong controls focus
