The role will require a flexible working ethic and a pragmatic approach to IT Cloud and Platform Project Delivery. They will have a keen interest in innovation alongside a willingness to implement new ways of working and automation.
Please note this a remote position. The position will be subject to SC clearance. As a result we require candidates who either hold or meet the criteria for SC.
Description of Role• Provide expert design, implementation and troubleshooting for multi forest Active Directory service (DFS, DNS, WINS, LDAP etc)
• Promote and demote domain controllers
• Support AD name resolution technologies (DNS, WINS, DHCP, Infoblox)
• Implement AD security methodologies (JEA, JIT, Delegation models and Tiered Admin model)
• Perform AD schema extensions
• Create PowerShell scripts
• Support Azure AD, AAD-DS and other Azure technologies
• IDAM project delivery & process design
• Simplification of complex IDAM processes & tools
• Maintaining security, standards and high availability of AD architecture
• Design and review any required changes to Active Directory with a specific focus on structure, delegation models, tiering and management. Education and Experience required:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience. May hold professional or intermediate-level certification(s) in work field. Typically 10+ years of relevant experience.Candidates should possess at least Disclosure Scotland / BPSS clearance or be willing to undertake appropriate security vetting.Essential Knowledge and Skills Required:• Microsoft Windows Server 2003-2022

- Any Microsoft / Citrix / VMWare certification
- Wider understanding of client or midrange OSes, networking and security
- HyperV, Azure and Google Cloud
- HP BladeSystem, or similar blade servers / blade chassis and interconnect technologies
- HP Cloud Service Automation, or similar self-service cloud management technology
- HP Server Automation, or similar system configuration / software deployment technology
- Symantec Datacentre Security, or similar security policy enforcement product
