About the Role

The Acquisition Marketing Manager for WSJ Leadership Institute (WSJLI) will grow and optimize our acquisition programs focused on specific CSuite memberships (CEO, CFO, CIO, CMO) and emerging communities to be launched next year. They will become an expert in understanding their end user and driving targeted campaigns aimed at generating sales opportunities. This role is highly collaborative and will work across the organization with multiple teams to identify opportunities for growth and measure success. This role has one direct report. Our marketing organization works in our NYC office three days every week.

You Will:

  • Implement the acquisition marketing strategy focused on acquiring new members for 2-3 community cohorts. 

  • Work closely with the WSJLI membership team to better understand benefit changes/enhancements as well as new content and leverage them as new business sales tactics to prospects. 

  • Manage and monitor ongoing campaigns, working with paid media, direct mail, golden ticket, email performance - and pivoting strategy when goals and ROI are not met. 

  • Work alongside the sales enablement team to build and deliver assets to drive new business sales. 

  • Drive registrations for annual membership events and work alongside event marketers to craft strategy for 50+ WSJLI events annually. 

  • Provide post-campaign analysis — drawing on successes and failures to identify tactics that are working to achieve business goals.

  • Work closely with our data team to build dashboards to track overall new business performance across marketing and sales to help empower business decision making.

  • Develop quarterly briefings for senior leadership to review campaign performance and overall pacing toward budget goals.

  • Work closely with a Brand Marketing partner on all marketing/creative briefs, ensuring that the assets and messaging engages the target audience and drives response,

  • Manage marketing budgets for all acquisition campaigns - monitoring the effectiveness of all activity and making timely adjustments to maximize ROI.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • 4-7 years' experience in performance marketing experience ideally within an international environment.

  • Hands-on experience with developing and reporting on metrics and KPIs for business goals, process improvement projects, and campaign management.

  • Proven delivery of positive results and growth through direct marketing;

  • Analytical and data driven, but also have a passion for creativity and forward-thinking flair;

  • Adopt a test-learn-optimize approach to all marketing initiatives.

  • Be able to take responsibility for initiatives and encourage a positive ‘can do’ attitude at all times;

  • Be able to embrace and drive change in a fast-pace environment;

  • Experience using CRM and marketing automation platforms, ideally with Salesforce and Eloqua;

  • Digital marketing expertise that has driven business outcomes;

  • A keen customer-facing attitude;

Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000
