What you can expect as an Accounts Receivable Manager at Visiting Media:

In this role you will oversee and manage the accounts receivable function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and exceptional customer experiences. This role is critical to our strategic growth and requires a proactive leader with a strong focus on process automation, problem-solving, and data-driven insights. You will also manage and develop distributed team members, including some contractor resources. We anticipate some more of your overall responsibilities to be: 

  • Oversee the full accounts receivable lifecycle, including invoicing, collections, dispute resolution, and cash applications.
  • Develop and implement automated processes to streamline AR workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve efficiency.
  • Leverage NetSuite, Tesorio, and other tools to enhance reporting capabilities and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Actively identify and address potential issues before they escalate, ensuring a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer billing inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to align on strategic objectives and improve customer outcomes.
  • Monitor AR aging reports, manage delinquent accounts, and provide regular updates to senior leadership on collection performance and trends.
  • Lead and develop a distributed team of AR professionals and contractor resources, fostering growth, engagement, and accountability.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by ensuring accurate and timely recording of receivables.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize cash flow and support the company's strategic objectives.

What previous experience will likely set you for success:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and Tesorio (or equivalent tools) with a strong emphasis on leveraging automation. 
  • Experience managing distributed teams, including hiring, mentoring, and developing team members and contractors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
