This is a full-time remote position. The work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30a – 5:30p Eastern Time. Our benefit offerings include Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, 401k with company match and PTO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts receivable and billing operations to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
- Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Manage and mentor the AR and billing team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.
- Monitor aging accounts, resolve payment discrepancies, and drive collections strategies.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirements.
- Prepare and present detailed AR and billing reports to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to address billing or payment issues effectively.
- Conduct regular audits of accounts receivable and billing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the AR and billing team, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable and billing.
- Handle escalations of complex disputes or collection issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Implement and oversee credit policies, ensuring proper evaluation of customer creditworthiness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to continually improve processes.
- Collaborate with IT to optimize billing and AR systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years in accounts receivable, billing, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; experience with AS400 is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) is preferred
- Mindset: A proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
