TITLE:     Accounting/Finance Associate
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:   Accounting Manager
CONTROLLING SUPERVISOR:  Tribal Chair
QUALIFICATIONS:
This employee must have a minimum of a high school diploma.   Completion of basic accounting and/or clerical training and experience in automated accounting systems is preferred.  Experience may be substituted for education.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Enter all journal vouchers for all Tribal organizations.
  2. Reconcile charge invoices / tickets to monthly statements.
  3. Scan / File all Accounts Payable and Journal Voucher related items into Laserfiche.
  4. Assist with Accounting’s record retention policy and procedures.
  5. Assist with Accounts Payable when needed.
  6. Shred outdated materials as necessary.
  7. Assist with financials for all Tribal organizations.
  8. Assist with audit preparations for all Tribal organizations.
  9. Assist with/complete any other job duties that may be assigned.
  10. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, and Excel) for reporting and record keeping.
  11. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  12. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and move about with ease.
