The Accounting Manager is responsible for motivating and managing a team of accounting professionals.  Supervision of the month end close process to ensure that tight deadlines are met accurately is key.   The Accounting Manager will work with Operations, BOD members, internal and external auditors and senior management.  The ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, be flexible and organized, and communicate decisions and recommendations to management is extremely important. Although this is a fully remote role, applicants must reside within a commutable distance to Las Vegas, NV to attend regular meetings.

How You'll Shine:

  • Supervision and staff development of a team of accounting professionals including periodic reviews and team building

  • Supervise month end close to ensure tight deadlines are met

  • Direct and continually improve the HOA Accounting process, including consistently analyzing structure to maintain efficiency and effectiveness

  • Financial reporting and analysis to internal clients including Corporate Accounting and Senior Management

  • Participate in special projects and assignments as requested by management

  • Direct and consolidate information for the external audits for the HOA’s

  • Responsible for budgeting and forecasting

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

  • Familiarity with general ledger accounting systems

  • Intermediate to advance Excel, PC skills specifically with Microsoft environment and MS Office

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment where a daily “open items” list may change based upon needs of management

  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented atmosphere

  • Ability to communicate decisions and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner

  • 7-10 years of accounting experience including general ledger analysis, budgets, forecasting, variance reporting & reconciliation analysis

  • 3+ years of experience managing a team

  • Hospitality background a plus

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
