Essential Duties:
- Manage activities of the accounting and procurement team (i.e., hires, trains, appraises, rewards, motivates, disciplines)
- Oversee the monthly close process including analysis of the results
- Supervise the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Oversee the internal and external audits
- Interact with personnel and management within accounting and other departments; including finance, tax, treasury, operations, accounting policy, and internal audit; to analyze issues and determine the impact
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS and CMF requirements
- Ensure processes and procedures comply with Company guidelines; serve as activity owner for key control activities in area of responsibility
- Recommend improvements to process flow, processes, and procedures
- Participate in projects as required
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of ten years of experience with at least five years of management experience
- Written and verbal English and Spanish fluency
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent planning skills; ability to effectively manage priorities for self and team to meet business requirements and deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Able to influence and inspire action
- Ability to work effectively across multiple internal functional groups
- Demonstrated supervisory experience necessary for training, motivating and directing staff, and successfully leading team-based projects
- Fully proficient in MS suite including Excel
- Expert knowledge of public accounting principles and practices
- Ability to perform basic accounting research, identify alternative solutions, and make recommendations for appropriate accounting treatment
- Ability to make accurate, independent decisions based on data provided
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Accountancy
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion financial software
- Credit Card Processing or Bankcard Industry experience
- CPA/CA Certification
- Big 4 experience
- Experience with internal control over financial reporting in a public company environment, including financial and system control activities
- Experience with international organizations
