Position Description:
At Monotype we rely on strong financial system to drive the business forward. Accounts payable team plays key role in ensuring control over payments, adherence of approval matrix. We are looking for accounts payable professionals who will be working with our counterparts in US corporate office. Position will be reporting to Finance Manager in India.
What you’ll be doing:
- Invoice Processing & Payment Execution: Ensure timely and accurate processing, verification, and reconciliation of invoices within SAP.
- Expense Allocation & Cost Control: Charge expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.
- Vendor Payments & Relationship Management: Monitor discount opportunities, schedule and prepare payments, and resolve any purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
- Vendor Account Reconciliation: Regularly verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and resolving any discrepancies.
- Employee Expense Management: Process and verify employee expense reports and advance requests, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- General Ledger & Accruals: Post General Ledger (GL) entries, maintain reconciliations for AP and other accrual accounts, and support financial closing activities.
- Banking & Treasury Operations: Manage payments through Cash Pro and other global banking portals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with banking regulations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact for global stakeholders, addressing inquiries and ensuring alignment with financial policies.
- Process Improvement & Compliance: Identify and implement best practices to streamline AP processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and financial controls.
What we’re looking for:
- Finance professional with 6 to 10 years of experience in Accounts payable, banking and month end close.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, any professional qualification will be added advantage.
- Proficiency in SAP, Cash Pro, and global banking portals and Accounts payable is required.
- Prior exposure of SAP, and Accounts payable domain.
- Proven experience managing and mentoring teams, with a focus on driving efficiency and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze financial data, resolve discrepancies, and improve AP processes.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office application.
- Must possess excellent communication skill to work with global stakeholders.
- Must be willing to accommodate to time zone with US corporate office.
- Monotype is expanding globally. Proficiency in one or more of the following languages is desirable (not mandatory) for this role: German, Japanese, French, Spanish.
