The Accounting Advisory Software Solutions Senior is responsible for working within the Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) practice to proactively advise clients on best practices for utilizing Client Accounting Advisory Services (CAAS) tools, primarily SAGE Intacct; to display technological expertise and lead the optimization of accounting software solutions tailored to client needs; to deliver comprehensive training for clients and internal team members on relevant technologies; and to continuously research technological advancements and other potential process improvements leveraging the latest technology to improve efficiencies for clients and client servers. This position will primarily serve as the go-to technology expert on SAGE Intacct for both clients and the internal AAS team, ensuring efficient system use and addressing technical problems proactively. The ideal candidate has played an integral role at the intersection of technology and accounting in the month-end close and forecasting processes.
Responsibilities
- Understanding of customers’ needs in Sage Intacct, proactively gathering information to learn about their requirements and expectations
- Desire and passion for educating and training internal and external parties’ functionality of Sage Intacct
- Delivering comprehensive training to clients and team members on Sage Intacct, tailoring sessions to varying levels of expertise
- Develop clear, user-friendly training materials and resources to facilitate learning and promote software adoption
- Intrinsic motivation to be knowledgeable of current product changes and proactively educating customers and team members on updates through internal and external presentations or webinars
- Provide oversight, mentoring, risk management, and quality control for the team
- Anticipate client needs and provide ongoing advisory support to ensure clients fully leverage accounting technology to meet their business objectives
- Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of customers, providing oversight to project managers regarding quality, timeliness, and customer experience
- Anticipating issues/complications, aligning expectations with client and client service team, time management, prioritization, and meeting deadlines
- Actively contribute to a collaborative environment, ensuring that all internal and external stakeholders receive the support they need, with a focus on responsiveness and clarity
- Stay ahead of industry trends by learning new tools, identifying ways to improve processes, and suggesting software enhancements that add value to both clients and the AAS team
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of practice to support both clients and internal AAS team on QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, BILL, and other relevant technologies
- Lead and support additional special projects on an ad hoc basis, i.e. project manage the year-end Form 1099s preparation and processing
Requirements
- 4+ years of client-facing experience with a strong focus working directly within Sage Intacct
- Demonstrated experience training and developing others, fostering confidence and proficiency in Sage Intacct use
- Ability to build advanced reports and dashboards for customers leveraging Sage Intacct’s reporting tools
- Proven track record in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues within Sage Intacct, such as banking integration and multi-entity consolidations, and offering creative, timely solutions to clients and internal stakeholders
- Certified SAGE Intacct Accounting Specialist
- A deep understanding of financial statements and general ledger accounting
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business technology field
- Proven experience in supporting chart of accounts conversions and new accounting and finance system setups / implementations, such as QBO and BILL
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on setting clear expectations.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated in leveraging new Business Intelligence (BI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, with a proactive approach to learning and utilizing these technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
