The Account Management team in Plaid’s Enterprise Segment is responsible for developing strong relationships and impactful solutions to help customers grow. The team’s deep technical, product, and industry knowledge helps our cross-vertical cohort of customers build and scale amazing applications. We act as partners, advisors, and advocates for our customers to help shape how consumer and business interactions with their finances will drastically improve in the coming years.
Plaid is looking for an experienced customer-facing professional to manage and grow our relationships with a small, focused portfolio of high-potential, strategic customers. The right candidate is a natural at building strong partnerships and has demonstrated success owning and growing customer relationships with large enterprise customers (cross-selling/up-selling, increasing product utilization, senior stakeholder management). In this role, you will focus on managing a small portfolio of Plaid’s largest customer accounts. You will be the primary point of contact for your customers and will work with them on all stages of integration, scaling, product expansion, and partnership management.
Responsibilities
- Relationship management: Build strong customer relationships and navigate their organizations to align the right external and internal stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen: Drive commercial discussions with customers, while meeting strategic and financial targets.
- Product solutioning: Determine product-use case fit for Plaid solutions with our customers.
- Strategic consultation: Act as a thought partner delivering expertise, education, and guidance to customers. Position Plaid as a trusted partner and use data to tell compelling stories.
- Portfolio Strategy: Prioritize and execute on short and long term priorities with varying timelines across multiple accounts.
- Feedback: Be the voice and champion for your customer internally and serve as a product feedback loop.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in a client-facing commercial role, like account management, partnerships management or consulting.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders across different functions and organizational levels.
- Proven success in negotiating agreements.
- A strategic mindset paired with the ability to make data-driven decisions and execute operationally.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Previous B2B technology experience is a strong plus.
