The Account Manager AWM, Community is responsible for driving and increasing sales of Smith+Nephew products with new and existing customers across Gothenburg, Malmo and the Southern region of Sweden.

What will you be doing?

We're looking for someone who can develop and build meaningful and positive relationships with our wound customers (primarily district nurses and doctors, and wound care nurses). There will be the requirements to sell at times, and to offer expertise across our portfolio of products. Those healthcare professionals that you engage with day in and day out, will rely on you to offer advice, guidance and product knowledge.

What does success look like?

Success in the role will be determined by revenue and an improved service provision and efficiency in our business interactions with our customers. Much of this will happen in a clinical environment, and will assist with the ongoing support of our existing Smith+Nephew customers and help implement business in new accounts.

Delivery of first class wound education programs and MedEd programs are important success- and differentiating factors for Smith+Nephew. As an Account Manager you'll lead clinical meetings/training sessions and product demonstrations to ensure the safe and effective use of S+N products.

Successful candidates would need the following:

  • Clinical and commercial experience is preferred, but we'd also like to hear from clinical professionals that would like to make their first move into a commercial role.
  • Good knowledge of Woundcare in a hospital, private clinic or home care setting.
  • Alternatively, sales candidates with 5+ years experience in the medical device industry would also be considered without a clinical background.
  • Experience delivering training and guidance to customers and health care professionals ensuring an outstanding sales experience.
  • Consistent record of success in delivering for customers and patients.
  • Happy to travel domestically across the territory and occasionally internationally.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Swedish Health Care system and experience working with tenders is advantageous.
  • High level of written and spoken English (please submit your CV in English to be considered.)
