KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces and civilians deployed around the world under KBR’s Strategic Army Portfolio.  KBR’s enduring mission support of the DoD Armed Forces dates back to 1992 when we served as the Army’s original prime contractor for its Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP). Today, we have a workforce of ~5,000 people representing 30 nationalities who perform work in 10 countries.  Under the Agriculture Cleaning and African Swine Fever (ASF) Sanitization (ACAS) contract; KBR will manage and perform the receipt, storage, maintenance, cleaning and sanitation of vehicles and property.

Job Summary

As a GS Site Manager, you will be responsible for the management and oversight of all activities, and has bottom line responsibility for the financial and technical success of a project related to the cleaning, sanitization, and re-deployment of military vehicles and equipment at a designated location within the USAREUR-AF theater.

Please note: This position will be located on-site, in multiple countries across the Eastern EU and is contingent upon award.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements and is accountable for compliance with customs requirements and overseeing the setup of holding and sterile staging areas for effective cleaning and ASF sanitization. 
  • Conducts site assessments, oversees the development of environmental mitigation strategies, and coordinates with stakeholders to facilitate access to cleaning and sanitization sites.
  • Responsible for mobilizing and becoming operational within a ten-day notice period and ensuring all equipment and personnel meet agricultural cleaning and sanitization standards.
  • Responsible for overseeing the mobilizing and utilizing of material handling equipment, establishing washdown and sanitization facilities, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, including EM 385-1-1 and AR 750-1.
  • Guarantees adherence to Partner Nation regulations, US entry and export requirements, and DoD policies throughout all operations.
  • Notifies the APOC/U.S. Customs Officer in writing within 24 hours when equipment is cleaned, agriculturally inspected, customs-certified, and ready for transportation to its final destination.
  • Maintains day to day contact and communication with the client and focuses on providing client satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree at least 10 years of operational management of government-sponsored programs, with a background in construction or facility maintenance. An additional 6 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Military experience as an 882A, 88N, 88H, or related MOS experience ideal.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior site-level facilities/operations experience is required.
  • Must have experience managing 50-100 employees in dispersed operations across multiple locations.
  • Must be capable of managing an entire project ranging from $1 to $7 million or bid packages on a larger project.
  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
