We need an English-fluent Software Engineer (C++/Skia Graphics), based in Latin America, available to work remotely.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize the product's user interface using the Skia Graphics Engine and Chromium Views.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable C++ code with a focus on performance.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a multi-platform environment.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
- Ensure the scalability, stability, and performance of the user interface across different platforms.
- Contribute to the overall codebase for our browser product and related services.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to implement features that improve the user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and share best practices to improve code quality.
- Contribute to the long-term evolution and innovation of Spigot’s ecosystem of services.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a C++ software engineer, with strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- In-depth experience working with the Skia Graphics Engine and Chromium Views.
- Proven ability to write high-performance, clean, and maintainable C++ code.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Git for version control and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with cross-functional development.
- Experience with other imperative programming languages (C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
It's a plus:
- Experience with HTML, CSS, Java, Rust, or Perl.
- Familiarity with tools like GN, Ninja Build System, and Gclient.
- Knowledge of browser architecture and the Chromium project.
- Experience with cloud-based or distributed systems development is advantageous.
Compensation:
- The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $2,000 - $3,000 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
- This position includes a 3-month trial period, with the possibility of extension to a long-term.
- This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
- The talent will work REMOTELY allocated at our client.
