Job Objective:
The IT Systems Analyst will implement, maintain, and scale solutions utilizing and expanding the Enterprise Historian. They will support the integration, reporting, and structuring of IOT data for the Enterprise. This individual will leverage their experience and expertise to become a trusted advisor for operations production data and analysis. He/she will analyze, understand, and document the requirements of solution development projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they are completed within its planned scope, schedule, and budget through coordination of required resources.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains and supports corporate PI system. Creates and manages PI tags, PI Interfaces, PI AF databases and analytics.
- Integrates PI with third-party systems (ERP, SCADA, DCS, and others).
- Patches and upgrades PI software and servers. Develops and implements PI standards.
- Understands the needs of supported stakeholder groups, focused on Operations, and represents IT with the business in delivery & support of solutions.
- Meets and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope and requirements.
- Translates highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements.
- Provides documentation of processes and training as needed, or ensures software vendors deliver this.
- Develops and implements maintenance procedures, monitors systems health, gathers system statistics, and troubleshoots reported errors and alarms.
- Performs design, implementation, and upgrades of information systems to meet business user needs.
- Provides direction on data models/structures, data management, and automated reporting solutions.
- Implements best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance.
- Envisions, designs, and deliver IT solutions which deliver value in terms of analytics, automation, efficiency, or improved IT controls.
- Oversees all phases of projects from conception to completion, including scope changes, and keeps end users engaged through communicating relevant project information.
- Manages the activities of third-party partners in delivery of IT solutions
- Coordinates the use and delivery of IT services, as directed.

Qualifications:
- Four (4) years minimum experience in Oil and Gas Upstream/Midstream.
- Four (4) years minimum experience working with asset models/framework using real time data.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Some programming/scripting experience using Python/JSON.
- Solid understanding of IT and OT technologies.
- Experience designing, developing, and delivering complex analytics and historian integrations.
- Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant IT solutions.
- Strong desire to learn new technologies and consistently improve.
- Experience configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of the principles and practices associated with database maintenance and administration.
- Relevant experience in use of technical tools for solutions development.
- Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, contractors, and third-party partners.
- Ability to accurately prioritize and deliver varied tasks without supervision.
- Working knowledge of SCADA systems including Cygnet, Ignition, Aveeva.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
- Microsoft: Office, SQL, SSRS, PowerBI, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio
- PI Suite of Applications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university with a degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Preferred – PI System Administration, PI System Application Developer
