1871 seeks a professionally driven, creative, and highly motivated intern to support our Innovation Labs Team.

Time Commitment

This internship is from June 5 to August 7, 2025, and is virtual with occasional on-site collaboration. Hours and time commitment may be flexible if agreed upon by the supervisor and the internship candidate prior to the start of the internship.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze member company growth metrics and program impact data
  • Research market trends affecting our startup community
  • Support the creation of resources for early-stage entrepreneurs
  • Help measure and report on 1871's community engagement
  • Assist in documenting success stories and impact metrics
  • Draft email communications for Innovation Lab members
  • Support calendar management for future events
  • Organize program planners to ensure event details are in sync
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university (recent grads will also be considered) with a focus in business, human resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Forms, etc.)
  • Strong analytical capabilities with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Excel / Google Sheets, SQL basics)
  • Ability to create compelling data visualizations
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with a wide range of 1871 community members

The member experience includes virtual and in person access to workshops, events, mentorship, and more.
