Reporting to the Director, Facilities, the Workplace Services Tech, will be primary in maintaining Roblox San Mateo offices. You will be a key piece in crafting an outstanding employee experience for all Robloxians by being customer oriented, proactive in maintenance and operational needs, and work successfully across multiple teams in-person and using communication tools such as email and slack.
Role is based in San Mateo, CA On-site/Monday - Friday (Nights and Weekends on a rotational basis): 7:30am - 4.30pm
You have:
- 8+ years experience in Facilities Operations
- Must be productive and effective with minimal direction
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, multifaceted environment
- Deep experience working with customers and provide the personalized service
- Working knowledge of hand tools with ability to use effectively
- Aptitude to utilize computers, apps/software tools, or other relevant/required technology as needed to perform and communicate in the role
- You are resourceful, exhibit patience under pressure, and know you’re capable of finding solutions
- You are a strong communicator and self-starter
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity working with Google Suite
You Will
- Troubleshoot and/or repair common issues pertaining to cabinetry, millwork, laminates, plumbing fixtures, and interior building finishes (paint and patch)
- Interact and communicate with property management and engineers
- Assemble/install/repair furniture, fixtures and equipment
- Move, arrange and transport furniture, equipment and materials
- Supervise installer and move vendors
- Respond to and address Site Services ticket requests
- Conduct inspections of facilities to identify maintenance issues including, but not limited to safety hazard
- Support vendor site visits
- Processes maintenance related work orders and maintains a schedule of planned maintenance projects
- Installs signs and whiteboards in select spaces as advised
- Support setup/breakdown of onsite events, meetings, training, etc.
- Setup of new employee workstations, including office relocations (moves adds changes)
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels for maintenance/office supplies
- Member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to assist with building emergencies
- Keeps storage facilities and equipment in an orderly, working condition
- Duties may require work during evenings and weekends.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

$115,460—$142,770 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).

Roblox Offices
Hybrid Workspace
Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.
We are requiring employees to be in the office three days a week – with core days being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Mondays and Fridays, employees may choose to work remotely, although the office will still be open.
