The Workplace Experience team's mission is to bring Plaids together by creating exceptional spaces, events, and programs. Our current workplace portfolio is spread across multiple locations (San Francisco, New York, D.C., Toronto, London, and Amsterdam) and contains two channels of Workplace: Operations and Events & Experiences.

In this role, you will oversee all day-to-day operations of Plaid’s NYC office including workplace services, facility maintenance and repair, janitorial, and food & beverage services. You will report directly to the Workplace Operations Lead and partner closely with Plaid's HR, TechOps, Legal, FP+A, and Employee Experience teams.


This role does require 5 days in-office in our NYC location.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations for Plaid’s NYC office, including workplace services (janitorial, food & beverage, etc.), facility maintenance, and repair.
  • Manage and coach the NYC Workplace Specialist and support future team growth.
  • Ensure the office is organized, clean, and operating smoothly to create a positive employee experience.
  • Represent and influence Plaid’s culture in the office by building relationships and supporting employees.
  • Lead space planning efforts to optimize office layout and seating arrangements in line with business needs.
  • Routinely update and maintain the NYC Emergency Action Plan; educate employees on emergency protocols and resources.
  • Source, manage and maintain relationships with all workplace vendors (e.g., food & beverage, janitorial, security, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders such as HR, TechOps, Legal, FP&A, and Workplace team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with the Workplace Operations Lead to manage the annual budget for the NYC office and identify continue process/cost improvements
  • Assist the Events & Experiences team with in-office events as needed.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in Facilities or a similar role.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience managing people and teams.
  • Expert understanding of facilities operations, space planning, and vendor management.
  • Strong customer service orientation and experience handling workplace requests and issues.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, documentation, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and triaging Workplace requests.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
