Qualifications
Position Overview:
As a Workday Finance Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and implementation support for Workday Finance and Workday Adaptive Planning solutions. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial processes, configure Workday solutions to meet their needs, and ensure a smooth deployment and integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation:
- Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements related to financial operations.
- Provide strategic advice on optimizing financial processes using Workday Finance and Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Solution Design & Configuration:
- Design and configure Workday Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Reporting.
- Implement and configure Workday Adaptive Planning to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis capabilities.
- Implementation & Support:
- Lead end-to-end implementation projects, including system setup, data migration, testing, and user training.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, providing ongoing support to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the implementation phase, maintaining clear and effective communication.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Documentation & Training:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including configuration guides, training materials, and user manuals.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and provide post-implementation support to ensure successful adoption of the system.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 3-8 years of hands-on experience as a Workday Finance Functional Consultant or in a similar role, with a strong focus on Workday Finance and Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Proven track record of successful Workday Finance and Adaptive Planning implementations and enhancements.
- Certifications:
- Workday Finance certification – P2P/R2R.
- Workday Adaptive Planning certification.
- Having certifications in additional Modules like Business Assets, Expenses, Inventory etc. will be an added advantage
- Skills:
- Deep understanding of financial processes and best practices in Workday Finance, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Reporting, configuring business processes and reports (calculated fields are a bonus)
- Proficiency in configuring and implementing Workday Adaptive Planning for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
