Job Summary:
The Cutover Lead will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of the cutover activities for a complex enterprise system migration going live in June 2025. This role will oversee the transition from legacy systems (SAP and Kronos) to modern cloud-based solutions (Workday and UKG). The Cutover Lead will ensure a seamless and efficient transition with minimal disruption to business operations, focusing on data integrity, system stability, and user readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Cutover Planning & Execution:
- Develop a comprehensive cutover strategy, timeline, and detailed runbook for transitioning from SAP to Workday and Kronos to UKG.
- Define pre-cutover, cutover, and post-cutover activities with clear roles and responsibilities.
- Coordinate with HR, IT, Payroll, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and readiness.
- Identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans to ensure a seamless transition.
System & Data Transition:
- Coordinate data extraction, transformation, and validation from SAP and Kronos before migration.
- Manage interface cutover between systems, ensuring smooth handover of integrations.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all cut-over-related activities.
- Conduct status meetings, providing updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure business users are informed on cutover processes and impact.
Testing & Validation:
- Support end-to-end testing, parallel payroll runs, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system readiness.
- Establish go/no-go criteria for migration and ensure sign-offs from key stakeholders.
- Validate system performance and resolve post-cutover issues during hypercare.
Post-Cutover Support & Stabilization:
- Lead hyper care activities, ensuring quick resolution of any post-migration issues.
- Monitor system performance and ensure all integrations, reports, and payroll functions are running smoothly.
- Document lessons learned and provide recommendations for future system cutovers.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience leading cutover activities for ERP/HCM migrations.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, Workday, Kronos, and UKG Cloud environments.
- Experience in data migration, system decommissioning, and business process transformation.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple parallel activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate risks proactively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is desirable.
Below is the pay range of this position for considered candidates based on qualifications and experience.
Pay Range
$81—$83 USD
