WGL - Workforce Planner Scheduler
Responsible for, and coordinates all aspects of, long-term and short-term manpower scheduling of Field Operations personnel. Applies and ensures that the terms of the labor contract for matters related to staffing, PTO, and shift coverage are followed. Serves as a point of contact for supervisors with respect to time off, management of overtime and draft hours, training schedules, planned or unplanned requests for filling or extending shifts.
You Will:
• Develops, updates and maintains long-term schedules for employees, including:
• Administering balloting process for employee seasonal shift selections according to labor contract
• Administering annual paid time off (PTO) request processes according to the labor contract
• Maintains short-term schedules by collaborating with supervisors to maintain minimum daily staffing levels; receives daily updates regarding employee absences and coordinates coverage as required
• Collaborates with HROD Training to make employees available for training and development while maintaining adequate coverage for operations, maintenance, and emergency response
• Develops, maintains and updates overtime hours worked and hours drafted databases and communicating status as required
• Supports the on-call process and assists with administering on-call lists as required
You Must Have:
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Associates Degree preferred. Degree may be substituted for experience
• 2+ Years of experience working with record-tracking systems and databases is required
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Washington Gas Operations procedures and practices, union contracts and/or utility operations preferred
• Proven ability to use computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Access, to share, retrieve, research and present business information
• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors and peers
• Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex messages to varied audiences, both verbally and in writing
• Working proficiency with Click/SAP and Workday (or willingness to become proficient) preferred
We offer a competitive salary range of $62,000.00 to $86,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
