As a Website Developer on the Digital Experience team, you’ll collaborate with visual design, digital strategy, SEO professionals, and other stakeholders across the company to implement new website features, build integrations with our martech stack, and learn and apply new technologies and platforms.

As part of a small but growing team, you’ll have ownership over the processes and technologies used to build and deliver key parts of our digital customer experience.

Responsibilities:

As a Web Developer, you will:

  • Build, test, and deploy new customer-facing website features and UI components, integrated with CMS systems
  • Assist with implementation of conversion-focused marketing campaign landing pages and templates
  • Integrate website systems with marketing automation, analytics, optimization, APIs, and CDN platforms
  • Research and select new frameworks and platforms to improve development processes, security, uptime, performance, accessibility, and overall website experience
  • Consult with the Digital Experience team and other stakeholders over the entirety of each project to ensure that website best practices are being considered
Requirements

What are we looking for in this role?:

  • Expertise in custom PHP development on the WordPress platform
  • Expertise with front-end JavaScript development
  • Strong understanding of modular UI development with HTML and Sass/CSS
  • Ability to develop mobile-first, responsive layouts
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles
  • Agile mindset, with the ability to break down complex designs and prototypes into smaller, shippable components
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Creative thinker, comfortable with completing work where specs are not always fully defined
  • Natural curiosity and desire for growth, self-improvement, and polish

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong writer and communicator
  • Integration experience with martech platforms like Marketo, HubSpot, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and APIs
  • Experience with Node.js and serverless
  • Experience with web performance, including CDN integration
  • Familiarity with Git, build tools, and continuous integration
  • Technical SEO and website accessibility knowledge

The hiring process for this role:

  • Hiring manager conversation: A 60-minute conversation with the Director of Digital Experience. Be prepared to discuss your background as well as what you’re looking for in your next role and what direction you see your career path taking. Also, a great time for you to ask questions about the expectations for this role, team culture, etc.
  • Panel Interview: A 30-minute meeting with the VP of Marketing and Lead of Visual Design. This is an opportunity for you to ask any final questions to ensure that the position and FMX is the right fit for you!
  • Offer Stage: If selected for this role, we will give you a call to extend an offer. 
  • Onboarding: After accepting the offer, we will begin the background screening process. All teammates must pass this step. Once cleared, we will guide you through the onboarding process to get you set up and ready to start!

Compensation:

  • We will offer a base salary for this position and you will be eligible for a company performance bonus. On target earnings will be $90,000-$110,000.
