WEB GURU

Back-End Web Developers or internally known as Web Gurus are integral in enhancing the website experience and security. They help shape and support TaskUs' overall online presence, and help innovate new, creative, and interactive ways of broadcasting our brand identity, services, products, and thought leadership content on the web.
As a back-end web developer, you will improve, maintain, and ensure the TaskUs website follows brand guidelines, loads quickly, is easy to navigate, up-to-date, SEO-optimized, mobile-optimized, secured from malicious attacks, and free from issues and errors.

Org Structure

• This role reports to the Website & SEO Manager.

• This role works closely with the SEO, Editorial, Creative, MarOps, and InfoSec teams.

• This role’s primary stakeholder is the Demand Generation & Integrated Marketing Team.

Website Security

• Work closely with InfoSec, CoreApps, Systems Enginering teams in safeguarding the website against digital attacks and vulnerabilities, while also ensuring the website is compliant with data privacy and security laws.
   

• Perform timely website maintenance tasks such as updates on Wordpress, theme builder, plugins, APIs, tokens, PHP and creating backups of the production, staging, and dev environments.

Website & Microsite Creation and Management

• Serves as the key quality specialist for all website, web page, landing page, and microsite (internal and external) projects to design, develop, test, and deploy based on defined project requirement and timeline.

  • Design - Conceptualize and ensure technical feasibility of innovative user interface and experience (UI/UX) for website, web page, landing page, and microsite. Ensure TaskUs brand identity is well-executed.
     

  • Develop - Build web page, landing page, and microsite from scratch or modify existing templates. Ensure UI/UX is efficient and consistent for all users across different browsers and devices (especially on mobile).
     

  • Test - QA and test website, web page, landing page, and microsite for possible issues, errors, inconsistencies on the content, experience, and security.
     

  • Deploy - Push changes or updates from one production to live environment. Provide real-time assistance during launches for potential issues & errors.
     

• Work closely with the SEO Team in implementing technical SEO on the website such as mobile responsiveness, page speed, schema markup, sitemaps, robots.txt.
   

• Address website issues and errors proactively for improved web experience and conversion.
   

• Work closely with Salesforce and Pardot specialists in creating responsive email templates and lead generation forms used to promote TaskUs offerings, events, updates to existing and prospective clients.
   

• Support the Marketing Team with publishing rich media content on the website.

• Collaborates with other team members and stakeholders.

• Has front and back end developer skills

  • Proficient in HTML5 and CSS3 is a must

  • Proficient in Javascript, jQuery, PHP, MySQL is a must

  • Proficient in content management systems (Wordpress) is a must

  • Knowledgeable in web hosting (WPEngine) is a must

  • Knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks for web is a plus

    • Knowledge with Next.js, React.js, Node.js, Vue.js, Express,js, Angular

  • Proficient in code editors (Visual Studio Code), version control systems (Git), package management (NPM), testing and debugging APIs and, Javascript testing tools.

• Strong understanding and troubleshooting of cross browser and device compatibility issues

• Experience with Pardot, Unbounce or other landing page software is a plus

• Understands fundamental design concepts: color theory, typography, and composition

• Knowledge and experience  in User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI)

• Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) is a requirement

• Strong understanding of SEO principles to ensure website is compliant. Knowledge and experience of web loading time optimization is a requirement

• Exceptional 2-3 years of experience in a corporate industry or freelance work or similar areas of expertise is preferred

• Exercise creative and technical decision-making during all phases of building any web project
