Job Title: Wealth Tech Operations Analyst - Contract

About the role

This role, WealthTech Operations Analyst, will be reporting to the Head of APAC Operations during the Project Phase, and transitioning into a Business As Usual position, working within a broader operations team. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth functioning of wealth management operating platforms, processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Project Phase

  • Participate in the project to establish the abrdn iHub platform, being responsible for the Operations Target Operating model and processes
  • Gain a deep knowledge and understanding of the iHub proposition and client requirements.
  • Work closely with 3rd party providers to articulate detailed requirements and ensure these are delivered against.
  • Test and monitor the performance of the iHub platform to ensure operational efficiency and security.
  • Work with the project team to address any issues arising from iHub technology, processes and systems, including investigating problems, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure Operational readiness ahead of Go-Live and manage the Early life support post go live of the iHub platform.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders including Technology, Compliance and external vendors to ensure we deliver an E2E solution.

BAU Ongoing Operations

  • Oversee ongoing operations of the platform and maintain seamless interactions with clients.
  • Manage and resolve distributor/ third party queries efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Proposition team to drive ongoing enhancements and capabilities on the platform.
  • Coordinate and manage changes with third-party service providers.
  • Generate internal Management Information (MI) reports to track operational usage and performance.
  • Providing assurance to clients that the platform is operating in line with expectations
  • Supervise and liaise with third-party service providers to ensure smooth operations and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness within wealth management processes, including streamlining workflows, automating tasks, or optimizing system configurations.
  • Working closely with the Proposition teams on client opportunities to grow the usage and profitability of the platform.
  • Being responsible for the ongoing development of our operating model and the delivery of new capabilities to support new clients.

Skills and experience

  • University degree or the equivalent in professional qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in operations, technology, project management and business analyst roles in the asset/wealth management industry
  • Strong knowledge of the asset/wealth management business and products.
  • Candidate should be self-motivated, dynamic and have a proven track record of working under pressure.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are key and the Candidate needs to be able to work independently and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
