Dematic has an immediate need for a Vice President of Software Development. This key leadership role will oversee the development of software solutions that enhance and empower our customer’s evolving supply chain processes. You will lead a talented team of engineers, architects, and developers, driving innovation, scalability, and performance of our software platforms. In this executive role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, data, and operations, to ensure alignment with business goals and to create solutions that improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our supply chain solutions.

  • Manage budgets for the software development team and ensure efficient allocation of resources across projects.
  • Lead change efforts in technology adoption, ensuring that the company remains on the cutting edge of software development practices and tools.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team, track progress, and report results to senior leadership. Drive continuous improvements through metrics-based decision making.
  • Oversee the implementation of secure coding practices, regulatory compliance requirements, and other critical governance frameworks.

Tasks and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or executive role managing global, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related fields is a plus, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this industry.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex software integration and modernization projects, with a focus on aligning business outcomes with technology solutions.
  • Deep expertise in modern software development technologies (cloud computing, microservices, APIs, DevOps practices, etc.), with a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and lead diverse teams across multiple time zones.
  • Strong background in Agile software development practices and principles.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to solve complex technical challenges while maintaining a customer-first mindset.
  • Travel domestically/internationally up to 50% of the time.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $200,000.00-$300,000.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
