The role

We're looking for an experienced and strategic Product Leader to take full ownership of our product function and drive its execution. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a critical role in shaping our product strategy, championing our vision, and ensuring our product delivers real value to our customers. This is a high-impact role where you’ll blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution, working closely with Engineering, Commercial, and Customer teams to develop and launch innovative solutions. What you would be doing in the role

Product leadership

  • Reporting into the CEO, play a key role in developing the company’s product strategy taking full ownership of the product function and driving execution.
  • Act as a champion and communicator of product vision, progress and plans both internally across the business and externally to customers
  • Calculate an ROI for major feature development

Product development

  • Conduct customer feedback sessions and workshops, integrating insights into our product development.
  • Maintain and enhance our Productboard insights, leveraging data for informed decision-making.
  • Introduce a more data-driven approach, using real-time user click data to refine product decisions.
  • Champion an agile, fast-paced delivery culture in Product and Engineering, ensuring engineers are closely connected with the purpose behind their work.
  • Operate as a manager and contributor, conducting product design, feature specification and collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Continuously improve product design and development practices to drive efficiency and quality.

Team Leadership

  • Mentor and manage the Product team, including a UI/UX designer and a product manager, fostering a culture of rapid delivery and high performance.
  • Foster a collaborative environment between Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment.
  • Promote agile product management principles.

Product communication

  • Represent Product within executive team meetings, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Engage personnel at all levels within our customers in our product vision, development and experience
  • Work closely with engineering leadership, delivery management and engineers to ensure we’re delivering the right product at the right pace.
  • Be the pivotal communication point between the business teams (Sales, Customer and Marketing) and our platform
Requirements

What we need from you:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product role
  • Experience working in a startup environment, comfortable with rapid change.
  • Track record of working in agile product and engineering environments, preferably within B2B SaaS.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership, drive initiatives, and make impactful decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • A right to work in the UK (unfortunately, we are not in a position to support visa sponsorship at this stage).

Bonus for (not essential but nice to have):

  • Exposure to legal practice, legal technology, and commercial law firms.
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with working on complex technical products.
