The VP of Operations is critical to Fellow's success, leading and optimizing all key operational functions. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will build and lead operations teams in the US and China.

This position is required to be in the Bay Area as this is a hybrid position, 3 days in our San Francisco office each week.

  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop a vision and build a high-performing team to support best-in-class supply chain efforts and deliver differentiated customer experiences. Create and implement operational strategies that align with Fellow's overall business objectives, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making within the Operations team.
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of Fellow's global supply chain, including sourcing, procurement, production, and logistics. Manage relationships with existing suppliers and identify and onboard new suppliers as needed. Drive a 5 year supply chain strategy to balance product development, cost, quality and risk. Ensure cost-effective production while maintaining Fellow's high standards of quality.
  • Product Quality: Implement and maintain a robust quality management system to ensure all products meet Fellow's premium quality standards. Oversee quality control processes throughout the supply chain, from raw materials to finished goods. Proactively identify areas for quality improvement and implement corrective actions. Enhance Fellow's profitability by identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives across all aspects of operations, while maintaining quality and service standards.
  • Logistics and Fulfillment: Optimize logistics operations to ensure efficient and timely order fulfillment. Manage warehouse operations, inventory control, and transportation. Drive cost downs and efficiencies across our logistics network without sacrificing customer experience. 
  • S&OP Planning: Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and supply chain capabilities. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development to develop accurate supply plans that support the organization. Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Customer Experience: Prioritize customer experience by delivering exceptional customer service and fulfillment experiences that delight while being mindful of the bottom-line impact. Achieve all customer satisfaction targets
  • Refurbishment and Service: Build out and maintain a refurbishment and service program here in San Francisco along with key partners 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or equivalent professional experience.
  • Masters Degree or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in operations and product development, ideally with consumer electronics, kitchen appliances, or similar products.
  • Thorough understanding of the full product development lifecycle, from concept to mass production.
  • Proven track record of launching successful consumer electronic or kitchen appliance products.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams (customer operations, business operations and supply chain).
  • Experience working with sourcing and supply chain teams for cost management.
  • Problem-solver who thrives on challenges.
  • Understanding and experience with Asia based contract manufacturers 
  • Highly analytical with strong data analysis skills and the ability to extract insights from complex data sets.

Salary Range: $200,000 - $240,000. Plus, bonus and generous equity package.
