We are actively seeking a VP, Global Marketing. This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in the U.S.
Position Summary
The VP of Global Marketing is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies that drive growth and market presence, incorporating the enhancement the buyer's journey by providing tools, insights, and support to help buyers make informed decisions. This role includes the management of all aspects of marketing operations, global campaigns, budget alignment and team leadership. This VP will collaborate closely with the whole revenue organization to ensure alignment with Rimini Street’s strategic goals and objectives. This role will report to the chief marketing officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive revenue growth.
- Lead and manage the team in conjunction with regional marketing teams in executing marketing plans and campaigns.
- Create and curate a library of high-quality content, including case studies, demos, FAQs, calculators, and other resources tied to a self-directed buyers journey.
- Understand the buyer journey and identify areas where content and resources can be optimized to improve the buying experience.
- Drive the identification of the correct marketing mix and implementation of marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and generate leads.
- Enable and conduct annual strategic planning sessions; Product Marketing, Marketing Operations, Corporate Marketing, Regional Marketing to ensure alignment and support of all stakeholders
- Collaborate with the entire revenue team to align sales and marketing strategies.
- Work with Global Brand, Communications and Content to develop and execute a strategy to ensure content is relevant, targeted, and accessible to the right buyers at the right time and allows for a self-guided experience, with messaging and content delivered at the correct points of the engagement.
- Implement best-in-class integrated campaign programs and strategy to drive demands, accelerate pipeline and client cross-sell opportunities
- Work cross-functionally to determine how to best reach, educate, close and nurture our clients and prospects
- Develop and deliver training programs to equip sales teams with the knowledge and skills to effectively leverage buyer enablement resources.
- Collaborate with brand and digital teams to increase top of the funnel traffic and accelerate conversion
- Partner with Content Marketing to identify optimal content and offer for demand generation
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, ensuring effectiveness of each campaign with adherence to best email practices and segment needs
- Identify the processes, technologies, metrics and org structures necessary to effectively and efficiently run Demand Generation
- Track, analyze and optimize each demand generation campaign. Use analytics and reporting to propose, by channel, funnel optimizations
- Partner with the Web team on optimizing corporate web properties to drive demand
- Manage a high-performance team and ensure appropriate resource allocation to deliver expected deliverables
- Lead and mentor both direct and indirect reports with the goal of improving their professional expertise to better serve business initiatives
- Regularly communicate Demand Generation plans, campaign programs and performance to Sales, Marketing and Executive Leadership
- Make informed recommendations for improvement and execute those recommendations
Education
- BS/BA degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Location
- Remote - U.S.
Experience
- A minimum 10 years of demand generation experience in enterprise B2B global Marketing
- At least 8 years of people management experience including leading other managers
Skills
- Ability to craft and execute long-term marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives
- Strong understanding of digital buyer’s journeys, and the content that guides users through the process, SEO expertise, marketing automation to streamline / personalize and ability to analyse user data and behavior to optimize the journey and improve conversion rates and mapping out the buyer’s journey to identify key touchpoints and optimize each stage, incorporating personalized experiences.
- Utilizes data analytics to inform marketing strategies and measure campaign effectiveness.
- Develops creative and impactful marketing that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Prior accountability for creating demand across prospect, customer and partner channels required
- Superior knowledge of best practices across account-based marketing and inbound marketing, particularly for the enterprise market
- Strong leader with excellent communication and people skills
- Experience building and managing a strong team of people while also playing a hands-on role in execution
- Ability to balance leading and delivering hands-on execution. Track record of success moving from strategy to execution with stellar results
- Experience with marketing automation with Salesforce, Marketo, and other marketing technologies to drive business outcomes
- Strong analytical and cross-departmental problem-solving skills with an ability to work under the pressure of a monthly cadence – and switch gears to think strategically about longer-term business planning
- Exceptional results orientation with a proven track record of execution, accountability, investment optimization and business growth
- Demonstrated collaborative leadership experience, managing relationships through influence in complex matrix structures
- Exceptional written and communication abilities with strong attention to detail
- Strong project management, prioritization, and leadership skills
