VP, Creative Director - Shark Home 

 

Position Overview: The Vice President Creative Director for Shark Home  is a key leadership role responsible for driving the creative vision, strategy, and execution across all brand touchpoints with a focus on product propositions, brand oversight and product storytelling.  This role will oversee the development of innovative and compelling creative concepts that align with the company’s product first innovation. The VP Creative Director will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, engineering, consumer insights and sales to ensure a cohesive and impactful brand experience that positively impacts our consumers lives every day. They will partner with the SharkNinja Creative network across offices in CA, NY, UK, APAC & LATAM to ensure the Shark global platform integration.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Creative Vision & Strategy:
    • Define and lead the creative vision for the Shark family of products, ensuring it is aligned with the company’s overall brand strategy and product innovation.
    • Develop and implement a creative strategy that drives brand awareness, customer engagement, and loyalty across all channels including video, digital, social, retail, and packaging.
  2. Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary creative team, including art directors, designers, copywriters, and other creative professionals.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the creative team, ensuring high-quality output that meets or exceeds industry standards.
    • Mentor and develop creative talent, providing guidance and feedback to enhance the team’s skills and performance.
  3. Creative Product Development & Consistency:
    • Ensure the consistency and integrity of the Shark product first stories across all creative executions.
    • Oversee the development of positioning, packaging, messaging architectures and product first executions and storytelling, ensuring all creative work aligns with the brand’s identity and voice.
    • Collaborate closely with the Consumer Insights group and the Product Development teams to ensure that creative messaging aligns with the the product insights and consumer needs.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with marketing, product, and CI teams to translate business objectives into creative strategies and campaigns that drive results.
    • Work closely with the digital and social media teams to develop innovative content that engages consumers and drives brand affinity.
    • Collaborate with external agencies, vendors, and partners to execute creative projects that meet the company’s high standards.
  5. Innovation & Trend Analysis:
    • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging insights to drive innovation in creative strategies and executions.
    • Explore new creative opportunities, including emerging platforms and channels, to keep the Shark brand at the forefront of the industry.
  6. Resource Management:
    • Manage the creative resources to efficiently and effectively achieve product launch success.
    • Partner closely on the selection and management of external creative partners, including agencies, freelancers, and production companies.
    • Recruit and grow a broad bench of talent to create a best-in-class creative team.  


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Creative Arts, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within the home, beauty, or consumer goods industries.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful creative strategies that drive brand growth and engagement.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop creative talent.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and levels.
  • Deep understanding of current creative trends, technologies, and best practices in digital, social, and experiential marketing.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing innovative and impactful creative work.
