The Vice President of Enterprise Applications will lead the strategy, design, implementation, and management of the organization's enterprise applications. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can align technology with business objectives, drive innovation, and enhance operational efficiency.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global strategy for enterprise applications aligned with the company’s goals and vision.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and translate business needs into technological solutions.

  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of enterprise applications, including SAP, Workday, Salesforce, Retail, and other business-critical systems.

  • Ensure all applications are integrated and support seamless data flow across the organization.

  • Innovation and Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements and innovations in enterprise applications.

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance application performance and user experience.

  • Build and lead a high-performing global team of application managers, analysts, and developers.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and professional growth within the team.

  • Project Oversight:

  • Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise application projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and application effectiveness.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders and business units to gather requirements and ensure applications meet user needs.

  • Collaborate with IT security and compliance teams to ensure applications meet regulatory and security standards.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • In-depth understanding of SAP S/4, ECC, and other SAP systems and their implementation and management.

  • Experience implementing or managing HRIS applications like Workday.

  • Experience with CRM applications including Salesforce and strategies for enhancing customer engagement and sales processes.

  • Experience managing global teams and relationship building with international business.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools to drive data-informed decision-making.

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and their applications in enterprise environments.

  • Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies for overseeing development projects.

  • Expertise in project management tools and techniques to manage application development and enhancement projects effectively.

  • Knowledge of industry regulations impacting business applications and ensuring applications meet compliance standards.

  • Understanding security protocols, data protection measures, and best practices to safeguard applications against threats.

  • Familiarity with UX principles ensures applications are user-friendly and meet business needs effectively.

  • Knowledge of system architecture principles to design scalable and resilient application ecosystems.

  • Experience in managing relationships with software vendors, including negotiation, contract management, and performance evaluation.

  • Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • 15+ years of experience in SAP focused in either Order to cash, Procure to pay, Finance & Controlling module.

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise applications management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience in S4 fashion will be a big plus.

  • Experience managing retail systems will be a big plus.

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and lead change initiatives effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to support and implement an appropriate business-aligned strategic architecture vision for global applications.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deliverables and ad hoc requests.

  • Demonstrated experience in areas of general management, specifically around team member development, leadership skills, organizational skills, and managing/setting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions while working through complex issues, program, and business interest-related issues.

  • Well-developed, executive-level critical thinking and communication skills (written and oral)
