Fox TV Stations

FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a VP Digital Strategy & Business Development to drive growth and foster long-term value for our business through the creation and leveraging of partnerships in the digital, streaming and tech industries. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, cultivating industry connections, and implementing strategies that propel our competitive advantage – especially in the FAST/CTV space.

Reporting directly to and working closely with the EVP Digital Operations, this role acts as the first point of contact for partnership discovery, evaluation, and realization. They are a “steward” of our digital and streaming brands, and must spread the passion and excitement for our products, users, and company beyond our walls and into the industry itself.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with partners, distributors, vendors, tech firms, and other industry communities.

  • Lead strategic evaluations of new and current opportunities, including developing potential business models and long-term forecasts.

  • Own our FAST streaming revenue and audience growth strategy, and partner with Sales, Marketing, and Distribution teams to implement across key platforms and vendors (e.g., Roku, Samsung, Amazon, Apple).

  • Expand our article and video syndication business by securing new partnerships, and growing value with existing partners (e.g., Apple, Yahoo, MSN). 

  • Use a data-driven approach to analyze current performance and decisions.

  • Research, evaluate, and report on current audience and market trends impacting our business.

  • Expand industry connections that could drive innovation in areas of CTV, AI, Ad Tech, and more.

  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, Distribution, Finance, Content, and Marketing teams on vendor management, contract negotiations, and other strategic projects.

  • Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Proven record of success in business development, digital strategy or related market. Experience with CTV/FAST streaming, digital news, or other digital media. Strong analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems. Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills - both written and verbal. Excellent organization and self-motivation. Understanding of technical products across a wide range of digital and streaming disciplines. Entrepreneurial spirit. Ability to travel. BS/BA 4-year degree.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $200,000.00-230,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $166,600.00-191,600.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
