The ideal candidate will be a successful marketing leader with deep experience leading an end-to-end, digital marketing function that includes digital and demand generation, product marketing, brand/messaging, communications and events.
The VP, Digital Marketing should be a modern, disciplined and highly intelligent leader who is excited about telling the company's story in a compelling manner and contributing to further refining and elevating the brand. This person will be a multi-faceted marketing leader who can leverage analytics and translate commercial insights into strong branding and demand-generation strategies.
With an appreciation for the opportunities that lie ahead at DISH/Boost, this person will seamlessly transform and provide support to the organization from a holistic digital perspective, helping to advance a true center of excellence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute profitable subscriber growth via paid social, paid search, display, ad operations and site teams for DISH/Boost.
  • Collaborate extensively with brand stakeholders in creative, analytics, consumer insights, etc.
  • Establish and grow key vendor relationships (e.g., Google, Amazon, Facebook and agencies) while evaluating new digital partners to drive the business forward and ensure DISH/Boost remains on the forefront of audience and platform opportunities.
  • Develop a keen understanding of our key customer profiles and how to profitably attract them using strategies and tactics.
  • Use a data-driven approach to optimize resources and budgets to deliver a positive return on marketing investment.
  • Identify, initiate, and optimize new marketing tests beyond business-as-usual tactics.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year vision through marketing capability enhancements, automation and process improvements.
  • Provide positive and effective leadership to the digital marketing team, instilling a culture of rapid testing and optimization, a drive to achieve and a focus on professional growth.
  • Serve as a thought leader to educate the broader organization on digital marketing industry developments and best practices.
  • Understanding of the marketing technology (MarTech) stack that enables personalization and experience with marketing automation platforms like Adobe, Salesforce and Oracle.
  • Lead, develop and execute strategies for leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other advanced technologies to enhance marketing performance and customer experience.
  • Empower teams with the right tools and training to execute modern marketing campaigns in real-time.
  • Work cross-functionally with IT, Data and MarTech teams to personalize the consumer experience from acquisition through retention.


Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • 10+ years of digital marketing experience in a subscription-based consumer business. A deep understanding of the digital landscape and its potential for compelling brand narratives and performance campaigns, combined with a deep understanding of the marketing technology stack.
  • Digital campaign management. Understanding what consumers want and building out campaigns and demand generation programs to complement this vision.
  • Storytelling expertise. Storytelling expertise that informs short- and long-term communication strategies.
  • Negotiation experience. Track record of successful negotiation outcomes with major digital advertising platforms (i.e., Facebook, Google, theTradeDesk, etc.).
  • Analytical Focus. Along with creative aspects, possesses a deep understanding of demand and lead generation and sales enablement, and how critical these aspects are to a well-rounded digital marketing operation.
  • Strategic Thinking
    • Explains specifically how changes in competitors, clients, and market segments affect their own business or institution.
    • Translates broad corporate strategies into clear, specific objectives and plans for units and individuals.
    • Creates plans that address specific segments or contrast the local market with other locations or segments.

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $200,000.00/Year - $300,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
