We're on the hunt for an experienced VP and Head of Product Management Brachytherapy who will lead the product management organization of the Brachy Solutions Business line. You will report to the SVP Head & Brachy Solutions and be responsible for overseeing product strategy plans that maintain Elekta’s brachytherapy leadership in the market and ensuring consistency across the BL portfolio, consisting of hardware, software and services.
What you’ll do at Elekta
The VP and Head of Product Management Brachytherapy is responsible to define and assess long-term market and competitor trends, define/maintain/deliver on product roadmaps for the BL products, develop customer requirements for the product-creation process and develop business cases.
The VP and Head of Product Management Brachytherapy responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Define and communicate the portfolio strategy and, as part of that, the product roadmap based on market, customer and competitor analysis in line with company-wide portfolio strategy (new and existing products).
- Represent and promote the Elekta brachy solutions portfolio, both present and future.
- Inspire a team of product managers to drive their development teams from an outside-in customer perspective.
- Drives innovation and development in the business line based on customer and patient needs.
- Prioritize development across portfolio based on business cases and customer satisfaction.
- Track business case commercial performance after launch and bear responsibility for realization of the business case.
- Drive regular heartbeat of product introductions, culminating in handover to Marketing & Sales.
- Define lifecycle strategy for products from cradle (introduction) to grave (end of support and end of life).
- Empower a team of product managers to oversee their respective product(s)
- Lead the effective utilization of resources deployed across the organizational line.
- Responsible for managing direct reports, including target setting, coaching, and performance management.
- Decide on the product roadmap and new product introduction timings aligned with the regions and BL Brachy Solutions Marketing&Sales.
- Decide on the prioritization of product development projects within the BL Brachy Solutions in line with compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Drive simplification of the Brachy Solutions business line products and workflow improvements based on customer input.
- Act as key anchor point for customers for innovation questions and input to our roadmap.
- Identify potential M&A targets to be brought up to the Business Line Management Team.
- Manages Business Line Product Management budget and organization.

What you’ll bring
- Relevant, recent experience working with (clinically) or on (industry) medical devices.
- Demonstrable track record as a senior manager in medical device product management.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Evidence-based experience in driving cross-functional initiatives.
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in a technical, clinical, business, or a related discipline is required.
- MBA is preferred.
- Availability for international travel, with flexibility depending on needs, around 30%
