Littera customizes high impact tutoring intervention tutoring intervention for K-12 schools and districts by supporting any student, subject, schedule, or staffing model. With our virtual tutors, curriculum integrations, and the Littera Tutoring Management System, schools can provide individualized support to every student who needs it.

This flexible role offers the opportunity to earn extra income while working from home. The more consistent your schedule, the more sessions you can book, giving you the chance to make a difference in the lives of more students!
Discover the benefits of Littera Tutors:
- Fully remote position based in the US. Enjoy flexible scheduling options! You can create your ideal work hours between Monday and Friday (no weekends), from 5 PM to 9 PM EST. Substitutes are available if needed.
- Subjects: Reading, ELL, Math, or all! Tutors can choose their subjects and grade levels.
- Compensation: Tutors earn $22.50 per hour for English/ELL/Reading and Math sessions. $18 (base pay) X 1.25 (paid administrative time)= $22.50 per tutored hour. This is a W-2 position that pays bi-weekly!
- Paid Training: Receive paid training at $18 per hour and supportive teamwork. You will benefit from comprehensive training modules and ongoing support from a dedicated manager and team members, ensuring you feel confident and prepared to succeed from day one!
- Schedule: This is a Part-Time W-2 position up to 25 hours per week. Please note this is based on the tutor’s availability and needs. Schedules are subject to change depending on the client’s needs.
- Lesson Plans Created for You! The curriculum is already provided, so no lesson planning is required!
- Small Group Sessions. Students are virtually in a 1:1-1:3 setting using our Littera Virtual platform.
- Paid Background Check & Fingerprinting. Tutors are invited to complete fingerprinting steps to be eligible for school districts that mandate fingerprinting. Although fingerprinting is not mandatory, opting for it allows for more sessions. Tutors who are fingerprinted will be able to start tutoring sooner. Littera covers the cost of tutor background checks and fingerprinting. It's important to know that previous fingerprinting is not transferable.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Availability: Consistent weekly availability and a set schedule at the same times each day are required.
- Essential equipment: Desktop/Laptop (Chrome browser) with reliable high-speed internet connection, headset with a microphone, and a quiet tutoring space.
- Proficiency in utilizing online virtual tools and technology.
- Relevant experience in empowering K-12 school-aged learners.
- Tutors must be located in the US for all tutoring sessions, as sessions are taught within the US!

What We Do
The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted and exacerbated the longstanding and systemic disparities in educational opportunities for kids along racial and socioeconomic lines. We started Littera to enable equitable, high-quality, and cost-effect academic support for schools and districts of all sizes. We support the delivery of individual and small group tutoring sessions and make implementation easy by leveraging the curriculum and technology districts already use.
Tutoring services exist, and Littera is not a traditional tutoring service. We built our platform to design programs and deliver services that make sense to each district and their students' specific learning needs.
