To support day to day Safety and Resilience (S&R) / HSSE activities of Site S&R/HSSE team in collaboration with location operations management, responsible for guidance, instructions and feedback on HSSE and to support implementation of HSSE initiatives, projects and any legal and regulatory requirements and company policies as relate to S&R/HSSE. This position is responsible to offer recommendations to improve Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Transport (HSSE), and Business Continuity Management (BCM). POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support day to day HSSE activities of Site Safety & Resilience (S&R) team
  • Manage & support operational management teams in assigned country to ensure all global and area management frameworks and local legal requirements are implemented with the direct support of local focal specialists in S&R.
  • Assure critical controls are identified and effectives relevant controls are in place with maintenance and supervisory structures in place to monitor.
  • Working closely with product heads to understand the operational landscape and future operational strategies to promote S&R within business drivers
  • Advise the business in a timely manner of all S&R related legislative & best practice developments
  • Support operations to ensure global, regional and area S&R, Incident Management & Business Continuity Management requirements are implemented in a timely manner to incorporate local country legal & regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all locations have a documented risk profile and corresponding risk assessments, identifying critical controls are identified and mitigated as low as reasonably possible (ALARP).
  • Facilitate S&R, IM & BCM requirements of contractors, visitors, vendors and all 3rd parties to ensure Maersk policies and procedure compliance
  • Escalate all incident & accident events to Country & Area S&R within appropriate timelines
  • Enforcing policies to establish a culture for S&R
  • Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk controls and adherence to local laws of your team
  • Conduct training and presentations for S&R matters and accident prevention
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
  • Intervene in unsafe activities or operations
  • Perform S&R audits & inspections

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • At least 10 years’ professional experience in safety or similar role(s) of HSSE field, with 05 years at managerial role(s) and managing a team of about 05 members
  • Experience in Logistics industry is a big plus
  • Language proficiency: fluent English (must), fluent Vietnamese (preferred)
  • A strong desire and passion to keep people safe
  • In-depth knowledge of OSH guidelines and practices and local laws and regulations in regards S&R
  • Diligent with an analytical mind
  • A strong character with a commitment to challenge senior management if required
  • Training and delivery group presentation competency
  • Dangerous goods competence & experience essential
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Good investigative & analytical technique
  • Excellent training competency and confidence in delivering to audiences
  • Good MS Office tools
  • Document and process creation desirable
