How would you like to edit content for well-known global brands and make an impact in the world? At the Wonderful Company’s in-house Agency you’ll get the opportunity to work on digital/social campaigns, rapid content, TV campaigns, documentaries, internal communications and more with top industry creatives to craft meaningful, smart, and often hilarious content.
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Video Editor with a budding portfolio that demonstrates their editing skills and creative potential. They should have a passion for short and long-form storytelling, be very detail oriented, and have a strong drive to continuously grow their technical and software skills. In this role you will also get to work on our film productions in a production capacity (sound, grip, PA) as we shoot a lot of content in-house and in the central valley.

This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
Job Description
- Edit Video Content: Craft an edit from start to finish, including brand videos, commercials, social media content, sizzle reels, short documentaries, and internal communications.
- Collaborate with Creative Teams: work with producers, copywriters, art directors, creative directors, and key stakeholders to execute the vision of the brand and campaign objectives.
- Media Management: Organize, manage, and archive footage and project files. Ensure all deliverables are backed up on the server.
- Refine and Enhance Edits: Ensure color grading, sound, and pacing enhance the storytelling and meet quality standards. Resize deliverables for different social platforms.
- Feedback Integration: Incorporate feedback from creative directors and stakeholders, iterating on edits as needed.
- Quality Control: Perform final quality checks on all edits, ensuring deliverables are polished and accurate, and titles are proofread and ready for distribution across digital channels. Possess a strong commitment to always deliver the highest quality content. Manage review links on Frame.io.
- Resourceful: Able to work as part of a team one day, independently the next - you adapt to new ideas, processes, and business problems with ease and enthusiasm. Resourceful and able to problem-solve and manage tasks with ambiguity.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Wear many hats without ego. Willing to work on projects small or large. Able to assist on film productions, setting up lights and more.
- Communication Skills: Constant professionalism as you will be working with owners of the company, senior management, and co-workers across all business units.
- Storytelling Ability: Strong sense of pacing, timing, and narrative structure with an ability to create engaging, high-quality content.
- Attention to Detail: Sharp eye for detail, with a commitment to high production values and quality.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to take direction and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bonus Skills:
- Experience with color grading software (DaVinci Resolve)
- Experience with motion design (After Effects)
- Experience in a digital or social media-focused role
- Film production experience. Familiarity filming with DSLR cameras (or better) and the ability to travel to the central valley for shoots ranging from B-roll, social campaigns, and short-form documentaries
Qualifications
- Ideally 2 years of agency experience
- 3-4 years of video editing experience, preferably in an advertising or content production environment
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects is a plus. (or a willingness to learn)
- College Degree preferred
Pay Range: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
