Job Summary
As a key member of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s strategic leadership team, the Vice President, Trade Sales & Support will be responsible for the strategic and commercial “day to day” management of the Trade Sales, Inside Sales and the Partner Assistance teams in the Americas region to drive revenue optimization and travel partner support.
Working with the broader organization, this role combines results-driven, inspirational organizational leadership, dedicated operational excellence, and a deep commitment to delivering The Ritz-Carlton brand standards. This team member will exemplify the motto of The Ritz-Carlton, representative of a best in class, results oriented, sales professionalism.
Essential Functions
- Achieve all travel agency performance goals for the assigned portfolio.
- Partner with the greater trade sales team in representing the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection in various trade shows, conferences, seminars, annual events, ship inspections, and other sales-related functions as appropriate or as requested.
- Collaborate with various departments within the company to create programs that drive sales within their assigned sales region to achieve commercial objectives.
- Leverage marketing, analytics, sales strategies, and operations to drive actions that exceed profitable revenue and sales targets.
- Communicate and measure goals for the Strategic Account Portfolio; continuously driving growth strategies for accounts to meet and exceed targets.
- Create and drive the RCYC Trade Sales and Trade Marketing annual business plan with intra-departmental partnerships (Marketing, Finance, etc.).
- Lead the development and execution of strategic departmental plans to deliver company revenue objectives across 3rd party and in-house sales and distribution functions.
- Establish both 3-year and annual sales objectives, providing quarterly updates, revisions, and modifications to the plan.
- Own the trade sales relationship with the Marriott GSO and consistently foster and maintain collaborative and proactive communication with key stakeholders that drive the business, facilitating ongoing commitment to corporate objectives.
- Establish market and target customer strategies for the RCYC B2B channel.
- Manage a travel agency portfolio ensuring a high level of consultative selling through effective communication, consistent engagement, and tactical negotiation of annual agreements providing recommendations based on overall cost of sale/total value of account analysis.
- Establish revenue targets with appropriate agency partners and consistently review revenue productivity and progress toward achieving assigned targets.
- Lead excellence in customer service through collaboration with the RCYC global contact centers.
- Represent Travel Partner perspectives and opportunities in global reviews (e.g., deployment, sourcing share, tailoring of proposition and communications).
- Support and conduct in-person/virtual educational training (in-person or virtual via webinars) to targeted travel advisors on product awareness and selling.
- Support agency partners in identifying group opportunities to develop and secure affinity and promotional group business.
- Participate in onboard events as required as well as plan and host familiarization voyages as required.
- Maintain database of travel advisors to communicate offers, news and information in conjunction with marketing.
- Lead and create a commercially focused performance culture across the department and organization to ensure business revenue objectives are met or exceeded.
- Role model leadership and management across the function and business to foster line management excellence.
- Positively challenge processes and design new solutions for improved and more efficient ways of working.
- Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders across the wider business to encourage collaborative working.
- Provide win-win service resolution for agency issues.
Competency
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and/or sales experience
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 10-year travel industry preferred or 15 years in a commercial, revenue-generating environment with a client-facing sales or marketing focus
- Luxury hotel/cruise experience a plus
- Proficient English fluency, both written and spoken
- Outstanding written & verbal communication skills including dynamic public-speaking skills (webinars/presentations)
- Results-oriented and strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting company objectives are a must
- Proficient in CRM (Salesforce) and MS Office applications, including competent skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Must commit to delivering a high level of customer service across all departments and organization
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally, hold a valid passport and state driver's license, and maintain a clean driving record. Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.

- Corporate and/or virtual office-based; significant travel is required.

What We Do
Designed to combine the luxury lifestyle of The Ritz-Carlton® and the casual freedom of a yachting vacation, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will offer voyages on three custom-built yachts. Calling on unique and distinguished destinations alike, most voyages range from seven to ten nights, offering many overnight calls and uniquely curated experiences ashore. Each yacht will feature 149 suites, each with its own private terrace, and accommodate up to 298 guests in a relaxed, casually elegant atmosphere. As with The Ritz-Carlton® on land, each yacht will feature personalized service, elevated dining and luxury amenities. The yachts are also available for private charter.
