Mintel is seeking a dynamic and innovative Vice President of SMB and Digital Sales to drive revenue growth and customer engagement across small and medium business (SMB) markets and digital sales channels. This includes the global management of the Mintel Store, Telesales teams and SMB Account Management. This combined role is pivotal in scaling Mintel’s presence in the SMB sector while optimizing and expanding digital-first sales strategies to deliver best-in-class customer experiences. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SMB growth strategies, digital sales innovation, and cross-functional leadership to achieve aggressive growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute integrated strategies to scale SMB sales and optimize digital sales channels.
- Align the SMB and digital sales initiatives with Mintel’s broader business objectives and client needs.
- Identify market opportunities and leverage digital tools to increase Mintel’s market penetration and customer acquisition.
- Revenue and Growth:
- Own the P&L for SMB and digital sales divisions, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
- Drive revenue through a combination of SMB-targeted campaigns and innovative digital sales strategies.
- Establish scalable sales models to support acquisition, retention, and expansion in the SMB segment.
- Customer-Centric Focus:
- Act as the voice of SMB clients and digital-first customers, ensuring their unique needs are addressed in Mintel’s offerings.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop tailored solutions and value propositions for SMB clients.
- Enhance the customer journey through seamless integration of digital sales channels and personalized engagement.
- Operational Excellence:
- Build and refine operational processes that support scalable growth in both SMB and digital sales.
- Utilize analytics to monitor performance, optimize sales funnels, and refine strategies.
- Evaluate and implement technologies to enhance digital sales and support SMB scalability.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Recruit, lead, and mentor high-performing teams for both SMB and digital sales functions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across teams.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Development, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in senior leadership roles, with a proven track record in SMB sales and digital sales.
- Demonstrated success in driving growth in SMB markets and scaling digital sales channels.
- Expertise in sales enablement tools, CRM platforms, and digital marketing technologies.
- Strong strategic planning and operational management skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging analytics to inform decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
