Job Description:

As the Vice President of Product, you will play a critical role in shaping our product strategy and execution. You will lead and transform a high-performing product team and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to enhance our offerings and drive customer success. Your expertise will be vital in navigating the complexities of a private equity-backed environment, ensuring alignment with growth objectives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Vision: Define and articulate a compelling product vision that aligns with our business goals and the expectations of our private equity stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a robust product management team, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and accountability.
  • Market Insights: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for differentiation.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation through development to launch, ensuring alignment with market demands and business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure seamless product delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform strategic decisions.
  • Alignment with Investment Goals: Ensure product strategies align with Elite’s growth and profitability objectives.
  • Drive Results: Balance the need for rapid product development and delivery with long-term strategic goals, all while meeting the expectations of stakeholders.
  • Manage Resources: Prioritize initiatives that yield the highest return on investment, collaborating with P&L product leader and technology senior leadership.
  • Lead Innovation: Establish a forward-thinking product vision that anticipates market trends and customer needs. Foster a culture of innovation within the product team, encouraging creative problem-solving and experimentation.
  • Understand Market Dynamics: Adapt to rapidly changing market conditions and customer needs while maintaining alignment with Elite’s long-term strategic plan and vision.
  • Lead Cultural Shifts: Guide the product team through cultural changes associated with transitioning to a private equity-backed SaaS company, fostering agility and responsiveness

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management within a SaaS environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling SaaS products, particularly in a private equity-backed context.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to product strategy and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs within the SaaS industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Experience in driving cultural change and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
