We're on the hunt for an experienced Vice President, People and Organization Development. A successful candidate will be responsible for developing, leading and supporting a wide range of HR areas, including Talent Management, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding. The position is strategically important with the aim to strengthen the people pipeline on a global level to drive successful business results on a short- and long-term basis.

What you’ll do at Elekta   

We are looking for a People Partner Lead for our People Organization, responsible for driving people initiatives and providing expertise in change management.

The Vice President, People and Organization Development responsibilities include (but are not limited to):  

  • Support and enable members of the P&OD team to deliver on P&OD strategy. 
  • Further develop and support the Global Talent Acquisition Manager with expertise and best practice when the team are expanding globally. 
  • Partner with People Org. and senior management to define and deliver employee retention strategies,e.g. position competency models, onboarding processes, employee engagement, career paths, and performance management.
  • Execute and deliver on Elekta’s standardized L&D offer globally and hire a L&D Partner
  • Create and execute global trainings and/or workshops for managers focusing on Culture, e.g.,
  • DE&I, supporting professional TA and TM practices
  • More effective development actions and initiatives connected to high potentials (in collaboration with P&OD colleagues)
  • Create, structure and coordinate global Employer Branding activities in order to establish data-led talent engagement
  • Ensuring our global HR processes are implemented in accordance with Elekta’s policies, practices, and objectives for the People Org.
  • Developing change management plans for projects and/or change initiatives
  • Identifying and managing anticipated resistance to change.
  • Leading change management work streams with a structured methodology / process.

The right stuff 

  • Excellent consultation and coaching skills, able to influence at senior level.
  • Transformational leadership style. Energetic and motivated to drive change and high performance.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Mature business acumen and previous experience from business management.

What you’ll bring  

  • University Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Extensive generalist HR experience gained in dynamic, matrix and change orientated business environments.
  • International experience from the HR/Leadership/Talent/Development, Succession and Organizational area and with a special passion for people & organizational development.
  • Preferably a background from working in a global context building a strong people pipeline and at the same time addressing cultural diversity issues.
  • Possesses a genuine understanding of leadership development and what forms a winning culture and hence a competitive company with strong business results.
  • Good understanding of change management principles, techniques & tools. 
  • Project management and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and meet expectations on delivery.
  • Effective, clear and concise communication skills both written and spoken English. 
  • Budget planning and management – Able to develop & manage HR budget.
  • Good IT skills, MS Office, HR database / systems management tools.
