Position Summary

The Vice President (VP), Infrastructure & Operations will develop and implement the strategy to modernize and maintain our IT infrastructure including network, device management and data centers, including IT service desk operations in support of a growth-oriented organization. This role will collaborate with the IT senior leadership team to align IT initiatives with business objectives. The VP will build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of accountability, customer focus, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This role is expected to drive adoption of emerging technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency, agility, and innovation as a trusted advisor to the IT senior leadership team on technology trends and opportunities.

The successful candidate will be a leader with strong executive presence and a proven track record of building and scaling high performing technology solutions to drive growth.  The leader will take a low ego, “roll up your sleeves” approach, combining technology expertise, business acumen, influencing skills and results-orientation.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable IT infrastructure, including data centers, storage, backups, cloud platforms, networks, and servers. 

  • Ensures system reliability, availability, redundancy, and scalability to meet current and future business needs.

  • Establishes Key Performance Indicators to measure, analyze and report to senior management on the effectiveness and performance of the infrastructure. 

Operations and Process Optimization

  • Directs the development and integration of new and innovative operations and/or services by providing leadership that maximizes the teams’ contributions and efficiency.

  • Ensure IT infrastructure and operations comply with industry standards, regulations, and security best practices

  • Collaborate with security teams to mitigate risks, manage vulnerabilities, and respond to cyber threats

IT Operations:

  • Lead IT operations, with accountability for incident management, change management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning

  • Establish and monitor KPI’s to measure and improve IT operational performance

  • Oversee IT operations to drive standardization and automation of processes to improve customer focus, efficiency, and service delivery

  • Inventory and document IT processes and establish a roadmap to optimize, streamline or automate. Maintain IT process framework and align operations processes and policies deployed through the Service Desk and Operations teams

Service Desk: 

  • Design and deliver IT service desk shared services that enhance the internal user experience

  • Establishes service level agreements for responsiveness

Budget and Vendor/Supplier Management:

  • Develop and manage the IT infrastructure and operations budget, optimizing investments for maximum impact and efficiency.

  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts with Procurement resources, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.

Education and Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred

  • 15+ years of experience in IT, with at least 10 years in a leadership role

  • Demonstrated experience in mergers and acquisitions, from due diligence to integration and synergy attainment.

  • Strong talent management skills including strategic workforce planning, talent development, coaching, mentoring, and team motivation.

  • Strong organizational skills, including an ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.

  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company's values.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel anticipated approximately 5-10%

Pay Range

$220,000-$260,000
