Job Description
Summary
The Vice President of Investor Relations (IR) position is responsible for developing and executing the company’s investor relations strategy, ensuring transparent and effective communication with institutional investors, analysts, and other stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the VP of IR plays a key role in shaping the company’s financial narrative, managing earnings communications, and supporting corporate strategy.
This position will engage with the investment community, provide insights into financial performance, and ensure compliance with SEC regulations. The role also requires collaboration with Corporate Marketing and Corporate Strategy teams to refine key messaging, assess market sizing, product positioning, and technology trends, and communicate the company’s long-term vision and competitive differentiation.
Position Responsibilities

Develop and lead a comprehensive investor relations program aligned with corporate goals.

Communicate the company’s financial performance, strategy, and value proposition to investors and analysts.

Manage relationships with institutional investors, equity research analysts, and ratings agencies.

Oversee earnings releases, quarterly earnings calls, investor presentations, and annual reports.

Ensure all investor communications are compliant with SEC regulations, GAAP standards, and corporate policies.

Monitor equity market trends, peer company performance, and analyst sentiment to provide strategic insights to executive leadership.

Conduct competitive benchmarking and prepare reports on investor perception, industry trends, and stock performance.

Work closely with Finance, Accounting, and Strategy teams to align investor messaging with corporate performance and long-term goals.

Provide guidance on financial modeling, earnings guidance, and market expectations.

Interface with Corporate Marketing to ensure consistent messaging across investor relations, brand positioning, and external communications.

Work with Corporate Strategy to assess market sizing, product positioning, competitive differentiation, and long-term growth opportunities.

Align investor messaging with corporate innovation, R&D initiatives, and product roadmaps.

Ensure key investor materials reflect the company’s technological advancements, market expansion strategies, and industry leadership.

Support marketing and PR efforts in crafting messages related to M&A, new market entry, and strategic partnerships.

Lead the development of earnings call scripts, investor decks, press releases, and Q&A materials for executives.

Collaborate with the CFO, CEO, and Corporate Communications to ensure consistent messaging.

Prepare leadership for investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows by crafting key messages and financial talking points.

Serve as the primary point of contact for sell-side and buy-side analysts, portfolio managers, and institutional investors.

Ensure compliance with Regulation FD (Fair Disclosure), SEC reporting requirements, and corporate governance best practices.

Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure accurate and timely disclosures.

Plan and execute investor conferences, roadshows, and annual shareholder meetings.

Coordinate non-deal roadshows (NDRs) with executive leadership to strengthen investor engagement.

Develop relationships with ESG-focused investors and integrate sustainability disclosures into investor materials.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

Bachelor’s degree is required.
-
MBA required (Finance, Business Administration, or related field).

15+ years of experience in investor relations, finance, or equity research required, with a preference for experience in aerospace & defense or technology sectors.

Deep understanding of financial statements, capital markets, and valuation principles.

Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, GAAP reporting, and corporate governance.

Experience with IR platforms and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Nasdaq IR Insight).

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear investor messaging.

Strong ability to build relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and executive leadership.

Experience working with corporate marketing and strategy teams to align financial messaging with market trends and product positioning.

Work is in an office environment, climate controlled through central air conditioning/heating.

The position will be based in Washington, DC, New York or Los Angeles, CA to align with the company's key investor, regulatory, and industry engagements.

May have some exposure to outside environment while traveling.

The salary range for this role is:
$259,000 - $366,975
