The overall functional responsibility for Client Development generally includes leading strategic growth efforts, protecting existing revenue with large corporate clients and continually assessing opportunities for additional revenue streams, finding new sources of revenue within targeted markets or geographies, and implementing strategies that fill the long-term pipeline.

Has primary responsibility for the strategic direction, management, and financial performance of client development in the region. Embraces and drives continuous improvement in all related organizational processes and practices within area of influence. Anticipates challenges, acts on opportunities, and takes calculated risks to position Braun Intertec for long-term success. Directs through subordinates, multiple large and complex critical initiatives/practices/programs that have significant impact across the company. Executes respective business plan (e.g., key hires, business development, client selection, project delivery, safety, client service) and shows commitment to the Braun Intertec Annual Operating Plan to achieve goals regardless of division, geography, or department. Builds cohesive teams and facilitates relationships at all levels across divisions. In partnership with Human Resources, develops strategies to attract, recruit and retain high-caliber leaders, managers, and other key staff to perform critical roles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                                                                            

  • Leads and drives strategic growth priorities for the South & Central Environmental Consulting division and is accountable for:
    • Establishing local/regional business development expectations.
    • Evaluating new market/new client pursuits.
    • Implementation of Client Service Leader (CSL) Program.
    • Setting business development budgets.
    • Developing lead generation strategies through webinar content and other social platforms.
    • Association and event planning and participation.
    • Evaluating backlog, forecast and pipeline metrics.
  • Collaborates with South & Central Environmental Consulting division leaders to establish consistent goals to ensure the realization of the strategic plan
  • Collaborates with other division leaders to facilitate cross-selling, aligning regional and local business development goals with divisional growth goals and ensuring accountability for the overall execution
  • Positions and pursues large project opportunities.
  • Communicates pricing dynamics and client expectations.
  • Provides support for project proposals and technical review of deliverables as needed.
  • Manages project, client and business-related risk through our Authority Grant policy.
  • Continually assesses the competitiveness of services provided against relevant comparable markets

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred

Experience and/or Training Fifteen years of professional experience in a related field, including ten years in a leadership role

Licenses/Certificates  TDB based on role

Technology/Equipment Microsoft Office, Experience with client relationship management (CRM) software

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

Essential: Hearing and vision (both correctable), continuous sitting or standing at desk or workstation, wrist turning, grasping, pinching, and finger manipulation, other physical requirements typical of working on a computer and talking on a phone (65%-100% of the time worked); frequent walking, lifting or carrying up to 10 lbs, turning and twisting (30%-64% of the time worked); occasional reaching, lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs, and push/pull up to 10 lbs (11%-29% of the time worked); rarely taste/smell, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders, lifts or scaffolding (0-9% of the time worked).

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work/Environment

Usually will be an office environment, using computer, telephone, other office equipment as needed to perform duties; frequent interruptions throughout day likely. Sometimes will be a jobsite environment which can be outside in all weather conditions and/or tightly enclosed areas and can have uneven walking surfaces.

Travel Requirements

Position requires offsite travel (locally and throughout United States), typically 10-15% annually.

Compensation Range:

$93,600.00 - $140,400.00
