Position summary:
Vet Channel Brand Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies for Pet Health products in the veterinary channel to achieve financial, marketing and market share objectives. Vet Channel Brand Manager responsibilities include leading the preparation and execution of current Rp and OTC portfolio and future innovation launches campaigns in vet channel, as well as tracking and analyzing the key performance indicators. Vet Channel Brand Manager builds and maintains a strong and consistent brand messaging to the veterinarian through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels, and consistent consideration of vet channel environment specific needs/tactics.
Responsibilities:
Vet Channel Brand Managers’ key tasks:
- Prepares yearly brand and marketing plans, develops effective market strategies to target customer segments, executes, and monitors progress in marketing and sales activities in assigned segments in entire product lifecycle of PH products in veterinary channel. Vet Channel Brand Manager is responsible for given marketing budget in alignment with supervisor.
- Tracks market share trends against plans and amends tactics to defend the set objectives.
- Analyses data and makes strategic recommendations. Provides marketing insight and direction to optimize new product launches. Continuously seek new business opportunities based on market visits, meeting with customers, desk, and field research (competitor and customer analysis).
- Developing briefs and having regular communication with creative and other agencies based on the demand (research, studies, events, training/educational agencies).
- Integrates sales and marketing approach toward sales force.
- Develops and maintains relationships in organization (cross divisions) and out of organization (external partners: customers, agencies, other 3rd parties, KOLs, bringing added value to the business).
- Customer Centric approach; works with the Commercial&Technical Consultant&Marketing Team in the development of goals, forecast and action plans for vet channel customers and key opinion leaders in vet channel, as well with Finance&Supply Function when needed.
- Regularly, together with PH Technical Consultant support sales force, customers and partners in product knowledge and marketing support.
- Spends certain amount of working time in the field with the sales team and independently to keep in touch with market trends and customer needs and in coordination with technical consultant.
- Contributes to the work of Regional Marketing Team CEE. Exchanges marketing ideas among regional marketing team members, shares available information with regional colleagues in a timely fashion, cooperates in preparation on marketing plans.
- Contributes to the good image of the company by developing excellent relationships with key opinion leaders and customers using Corporate Compliance principles.
- Responsibility of compliance.
Basic qualifications:
- Degree in Veterinary Science, or Business Administration/Marketing or Pharmaceutical Science related area.
- Prior experience in the Animal Health or Pharma industry will be an advantage.
- 3+years marketing experience.
- Fluency in English and Polish language is essential.
Additional Skills & Preferences (Nice to Have):
- Focused on customers and with developed insights of customer value requirements and to be able to articulate these requirements into meaningful brand product positions.
- Empathy and passion for the veterinary animal health business.
- Animal Health and/or Agriculture or Pharma science experience; marketing experience.
- Demonstrable passion for marketing.
- Positive attitude and fit with Elanco cultural pillars.
- Demonstrated experience in working effectively with teams and various functional areas such as research, development, marketing services, finance, commerical, customer service, and business development.
- A results driven team player able to work in and with a proactive team with a high degree of customer focus.
- Excellent organizational and implementation skills.
- Personal accountability and strong drive for execution.
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.
- Mastery of and compliance with project approval requirements, Elanco policies and procedures.
