🌍 Your Mission:
As a Velocity AE, your primary focus will be driving new business acquisition. You will engage with inbound leads, identify and activate high-potential free-tier users, and convert them into successful paying customers. You’ll also build pipeline through outbound prospecting, with a particular focus on identifying and engaging venture-backed startups and high-growth companies across France.
While net new acquisition is your main objective, you will also be responsible for managing a book of existing SMB customers. You’ll work to ensure they are finding value in Amplitude, identify opportunities for expansion, and drive long-term retention.
This role is central to scaling Amplitude’s presence in the French SMB market. It requires a hunter mindset paired with relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate both short sales cycles and ongoing account growth. Monthly travel across France is expected to support both prospective and current customer relationships.
✨ What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own full-cycle sales – from prospecting and discovery to closing and onboarding.
- Focus on net new customer acquisition within the French SMB market.
- Develop Amplitude’s brand and community in France, especially among product, growth, and data teams.
- Build relationships with prospective and current customers through regular in-person engagement—monthly travel across France is required.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, sales engineering, and customer success to ensure a seamless experience across the customer journey.
- Leverage usage data to identify activation signals and optimize conversion from free to paid.
✅ You have experience like:
- Consistently exceeding pipeline generation targets as an SDR—through outbound prospecting, cold calling, and leveraging product usage data to identify high-potential accounts.
- Converting product-qualified leads into revenue as an AE, turning trial users and free-tier accounts into long-term paying customers.
- Owning discovery and demo calls with prospective customers, running personalized, value-driven sales motions that directly address customer pain points.
- Breaking into new markets or verticals, such as building a presence in a specific region (like France), and developing local awareness and pipeline from the ground up.
- Partnering closely with marketing and sales leadership to run targeted outbound campaigns, participate in regional events, or launch SMB-specific GTM motions.
- Managing multi-touch sales processes, using tools like Salesforce, Outreach, and Amplitude to drive and track engagement.
